The app for high school life
Your school's yard, in one app.
Yard puts events, clubs, sports, lunch menus, local discounts, jobs, and mentors in one app students actually want to open — with bullying reporting, emergency alerts, and mental-health support built right in.

The problem
School life lives in fifteen different places.
Flyers in the hallway. A group text for the team. A PDF lunch menu nobody opens. Three logins for grades, a fourth for forms. And somewhere, buried in all of it, the things that matter most — how to report bullying, how to get help when you're struggling — sitting where no student will ever find them.
Students miss everything
Events, club meetings, deadlines, and opportunities are spread across apps and bulletin boards. The kids who'd benefit most are the ones who never see them.
Help is hard to reach
When a student needs to report something or talk to someone, the path is a poster, a hotline, or an awkward walk to the office. Most won't take it.
Schools juggle a dozen tools
Separate systems for reporting, alerts, events, and support — none of them talking to each other, all of them straining tight budgets and staff time.
One app
Everything that matters outside the classroom — in one place.
Yard gives your school its own branded app where students go for the fun stuff: games, clubs, prom, lunch, discounts, jobs. And because they're already there every day, the serious stuff finally reaches them — a quiet way to ask for help, a fast way to report a problem, and a real connection to support. Students come for the life. They find the help when they need it.
Not a gradebook. Not another parent portal. The place students actually open.

Safety & support
Report what isn't okay — and get help, fast.
Report bullying, harassment, or a safety concern in seconds — anonymously if you want. And when a student needs to talk, one tap connects them to real support, on their terms.
Report in seconds — bullying, cyberbullying, harassment, threats, self-harm concerns, and more, with the option to stay anonymous.
Routed to the right team — counselor, principal, Title IX, or safety lead, by category and urgency, with case management and a full audit trail for staff.
Get help, fast — a simple flow that asks what's going on and connects students to their counselor or a school-approved mental-health partner.
Insurance- and Medicaid-aware navigation — find covered providers, with consent steps handled where required. (Providers deliver and bill for care; Yard connects and tracks the referral, and doesn't store clinical notes.)
Crisis resources, always one tap away — including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and local emergency options.
A trusted resource directory — mental health, food, housing, transportation, and community programs, kept current by your school so families never dig through outdated PDFs.
In an emergency, always call 911. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988. Yard gets the right people informed quickly and helps students find support — it isn't a clinical or emergency service.
For students
It's actually for you.
Not a school portal you're forced to check. The app where your school's whole life happens — and where help is there if you ever need it.
Your school. Your people. Your app.
- See what's happening today, this week, and at the next big game.
- RSVP to events, grab discounts, and check the lunch menu in two taps.
- Find a job, log volunteer hours, and never miss a scholarship deadline.
- Talk to someone who does the job you want to do one day.
- Get help quietly, on your terms — or report something that isn't right, anonymously.

For schools & districts
Safer, more connected schools — from one dashboard.
Yard gives your team a single place to communicate, run events, receive and manage safety reports, and route students to support — with the engagement that finally makes those tools work.
Safety you can document
Receive, triage, and resolve bullying, harassment, and safety reports with assignment, timestamps, and a complete audit trail.
Engagement that's real
Students open it for the life, so your announcements, alerts, and support reach them where they already are.
Mental-health access
A real front door to school, community, and insurance-covered support — not a hotline nobody calls.
Fewer vendors, less sprawl
Replace scattered flyers, group texts, PDFs, and one-off tools with a single, school-branded app.
Insight that helps
See what students engage with, where concerns cluster, and which programs are working — in plain dashboards.
Built for your rules
Configurable by school, grade, and module. Your branding, your permissions, your data — with the compliance districts require.
For parents
Peace of mind, in your pocket.
Know what's happening, get the alerts that matter, and see your child connected to the support and opportunities around them.
Stay in the loop — see what's happening and get urgent alerts the moment they matter.
One trusted place for support — school and community resources, kept current by the school.
Help your child connect — to counselors, mentors, tutoring, and approved providers.
How it works
Live in weeks, not semesters.
We brand it for you
Your name, your colors, your schools. We sync your roster and set up your modules.
Students roll on
Single sign-on and a simple launch campaign get students in fast — built with student input so they want to stay.
Life happens in the app
Events, clubs, sports, lunch, discounts, jobs, mentors — your school's whole world, in one feed.
You manage and see it all
Reports, alerts, resources, and engagement insights — from one dashboard, with support from us the whole way.
Safety, privacy & trust
Built safe, from the first line of code.
A student app earns its place by being trustworthy. Here's how we hold that.
We never sell student data. Ever. It isn't our business model — schools are.
FERPA and COPPA aligned, with privacy and consent flows built for minors.
Your district stays in control — of branding, permissions, what's enabled, and what admins can and can't see.
No open messaging to strangers. Mentors and partners are school-vetted; conversations follow school rules.
Sensitive support stays private. We track that a referral happened, not what was said — we don't store clinical notes.
Mandatory-reporting and crisis paths are configured to your state and district rules.
Clear data retention and deletion policies, and student-privacy boundaries by age and service.

Yard is a communication, reporting, and navigation platform — not a clinical care provider or emergency-response service. In an emergency, always call 911; in a crisis, call or text 988.

Questions
Good questions, straight answers.
Is it really free for students?
Yes. Students never pay. Schools and districts pay a per-student subscription, and the app is free for every student and family.
What can school admins see — and not see?
Admins see what they need to keep students safe and supported: reports, cases, engagement, and resource use. Sensitive support details are kept private, and you control permissions by role. We don't store clinical notes.
How does anonymous reporting work?
Students can report without giving their name. The report routes to the right staff member by category and urgency, the student gets a confirmation and a way to add details, and they're shown support options right after.
Is this a crisis or therapy service?
No. Yard connects students to school, community, and insurance-covered support and surfaces crisis resources like 988 — but it isn't a clinical provider or an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911.
How are mentors vetted?
Every mentor is school-approved. There's no open messaging between students and strangers, and all interactions follow your school's rules.
Is student data safe? Do you sell it?
We never sell student data. We're FERPA- and COPPA-aligned, your district controls the data, and we follow clear retention and deletion policies.
How long does setup take?
Most schools go live in a few weeks. We handle branding, roster sync, and single sign-on, and support your launch.
Does it replace our grade or parent portal?
No — it sits alongside them. Yard is for everything outside the gradebook: life, safety, and support.
What does it cost?
Per-student pricing based on your size and the plan you choose, with onboarding included. Reach out and we'll put together a quote and help with funding sources.
