Yard is for every student, so accessibility is part of how we build. This is a representative summary of our commitments for this rebuild.

Our commitment

We aim to meet widely recognized accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and to keep improving. That means visible keyboard focus, sufficient color contrast, descriptive alt text on images, and respect for reduced-motion preferences.

Across web and app

Keyboard-navigable interfaces with clear focus states.
Screen-reader-friendly structure and labels.
Motion that respects the system “reduce motion” setting.
Readable type, color, and spacing tuned for phones.
